Shara Collections

Shara Collections began with a simple idea : “What if we tried something that was just ours?” Inspired by this thought, and after a few encouraging conversations with friends, we decided to give it a shot—bringing beautiful, handcrafted items from Nepal to Australia.

We started with just one market table. On our very first day, we quickly realized it wasn’t enough. Luckily, the stall was close to the city, and we ran to grab a second table. Soon after, we added a 3×3 meter tent and expanded our collection—from soft wool felt toys like sheep, dinosaurs, and finger puppets, to natural items like Yak lavender soap, singing bowls, and bracelets made with gemstone beads.

In the beginning, we focused on small accessories like keyrings, prayer flags, and earrings, but as winter approached, we noticed people wanted warmer, cozier products. That’s when we introduced handmade woolen gloves, socks, and beanies, along with colorful jackets, ponchos, and shawls—slowly shaping the stall into something people would stop for.

As of July 2025, we’re still at the early stage of this journey. We travel to different towns and community events, sometimes driving 100+ km just for a single market day. Some days we barely sell anything. Other days, someone finds a piece they love and we end the day smiling. It’s not always sunshine and rainbows—but it’s real. It’s something we’ve built together.

We aren’t living off this—yet. We still do other jobs on the side—but this journey gives us joy, lets us meet people, learn about different cultures, and make new friends along the way.

Most of our products are handmade by artisans in Nepal or handpicked thoughtfully by us during our sourcing visits. Our collection now includes:

We don't know where this road will take us. But for now, we’re enjoying each stop, each conversation, and each smile shared over a beautiful product that carries a piece of Nepal with it.
